"The Atheist Communion is a web based community designed to foster links within atheism. Created by all of us in the way we each see fit, it preserves the core atheist sense of independent thought and deed whilst making the very best use of our combined talents and exploiting unified purpose wherever we find it. At its heart is a high quality user contributed repository of information. Take from it what you will and give to it what you can."

How does The Atheist Communion work?

In practice it takes the form of this blog which acts as a news feed for what's happening in the heart of the site; a central repository where we can find ways to help spread reason and goodness in the world, receive help from our fellow atheists and discover, record, create, discuss and improve the very best that atheism has to offer.

Herding Cats

It has been said, with good reason, that organising atheists is like herding cats. Atheists tend to be independent minded and anti-dogmatic, yet that's not to say that we cannot benefit from belonging to a community of broadly like-minded individuals. We have a lot in common, even though those commonalities are rarely universally held to.
